Bus Driver

What You'll Do

  • Provide safe transport for children to and from the classroom site and special

       activities such as field trips

  • Conduct a daily vehicle safety check and report any needed maintenance 

  • Perform bus evacuations as Federal Performance Standards, the Head Start Act

       or State and Local licensing requires

  • Assists in the classroom

What You Can Expect

What We Expect From You

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

  • Valid CDL with Ohio School Bus and Passenger endorsements

  • Remain current with all certifications, credentials and non-degree license

  • Attend transportation oriented trainings

  • Proof of auto insurance

  • Completion of background checks

  • Be able to pass initial and regular drug screenings

  • Maintain up-to-date medical examination (T-8 Physical) record on file each year

       demonstrating that the driver is in good physical and mental health
